Automation
We supply & install garage door operators for all types of compatible garage doors. Enjoy the luxury and safety of opening and closing your door from the push of a button. No need to get out of your car, or walk outside. If you currently have a manual up & over, single skin roller or sectional garage door then you can often upgrade your existing garage door to be automated.
Older Canopy-style Up & Over doors require a bow-arm conversion kit for compatibility with an automatic operator. While the bow-arm reduces the drive-through height in the centre of the door, the impact on clearance depends on your door's current height. Before installation, we always conduct a survey to ensure the door is suitable for an operator and will inform you of any reduction in drive-through height, allowing you to make an informed decision about proceeding.
For increased convenience and smart home compatibility most new operators are Wi-Fi compatible. For those that do not as standard or for older operators there are aftermarket Wi-Fi module kits available. Smart home integration, allows you to control your garage door, even when you are away from home, perfect for deliveries.
We don't just install garage door operators, we install all other components involved with automatic garage doors including, control boards, safety systems (ensuring the door auto-reverses in the event of an obstruction) and intruder alarms (subject to manufacturer). We also supply and install a wide range of optional extras including external digital keypads, decorative LED lighting strips and internal wall mounted remotes.
The balance of a garage door, controlled by the spring tension, is a crucial factor for the performance of an automatic operator. Incorrect spring tension—whether too high or too low—can significantly shorten the lifespan of an operator, as it is labouring when trying to move the door. Older doors often lose tension over time, whilst an incorrectly installed door could also have too much tension.
If your automatic door is struggling to open or close, alongside checking the door in general, the first step is to assess the door's balance. If adjustments are needed, we correct the spring tension accordingly and then recalibrate the operator. If these steps resolve the motor's labouring issue, you have successfully avoided the cost of a new motor and may get many more years of trouble free operation. However, if adjusting the tension does not resolve the problem, it indicates that the operator has reached the end of its service life and this is when we can discuss your options for replacement.

We also install all types of Roller Door motors. As a first sign, closing will generally not be as much of an issue for a tired motor as gravity is helping but you will often find opening is when the motor struggles to lift the curtain.

We offer a range of operators and motors and will always advise which is most suitable depending on your requirements and door type. All our operators and motors come a minimum of a 5-year manufacturers warranty. New operators come with two hand held remotes as standard. New Roller door motors do not come with new remotes. The remotes are linked to your wall mounted control unit and will continue to work as before with the new motor.
WE CAN SOURCE ALL AVAILABLE REMOTE CONTROLS
You can send us photos of the front and back of your remote, as well as your operator or wall-mounted control unit (if you have access to it) via WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.
Occasionally, remote controls for older units are discontinued. In such cases, we can offer a solution by installing a new remote and receiver kit. This integrates with your existing unit, allowing you to use new remotes with your current operator, without the need to replace the entire system.
